The PRWC is sponsoring a photographic contest that will feature scenes from the rivers in our watershed: the Pomperaug, Nonewaug and the Weekeepeemee and their tributaries.
THe purpose of the contest is to raise awareness and appreciation of the rivers that serve our towns. It is anticipated that the PRWC will produce a calendar and possibly a line of note cards with the photos as a fund raiser. |
| On a date in June, 2009 to be announced a jury will judge the photos submitted in the categories noted below. Entries will appear on the PRWC web site throughout the year and will be mounted for display at the local libraries. The Ritz Camera shop in Southbury Shopping Plaza has agreed to be a Corporate Sponsor for the Pomperaug Photography Contest. They have offered to serve as a collection point for entries, provide advice and help in meeting the entry specifications. |
