April 18: Hike at the Tappe Pasture, 1:30 P.M. with the Audubon Center at Bent of the River, Southbury Land Trust, Pomperaug River Watershed Coalition and Flanders Nature Center & Land Trust - known collectively as the Conservation Partners - who will share knowledge, expertise, science and history on the beautiful Tappe Pasture. This special hike, which kicks off Earthweek Connecticut, is an opportunity to environmentally multi-task! Do a stream walk along the Transylvania Brook, meet the resident flock of Katahdin sheep, search for hidden treasures and nature art, & uncover the earliest of spring flowers. Join the Conservation Partners at 1:30 at the Bent of the River parking lot at 185 East Flat Hill Road. Bad weather will cancel this hike. Please call 203-264-5098 for a cancellation message.
