About the Event
The Glebe House Museum & Gertrude Jekyll Garden will host a guided tour of the garden. Guests will learn the fascinating history surrounding the only surviving Jekyll garden design in North America. Take a journey through time beginning in 1926, when plans were originally commissioned, to their mysterious disappearance, and miraculous discovery more than 30 years later. Walk the historic garden with volunteer garden committee members and see Jekyll’s design unfold as they share the story of its original planting through the current restoration. Guests will also have the opportunity to speak with Master Gardeners and visit the main floor of the Glebe House Museum.
