About the Event

There is a public health risk associated with drinking water from private wells that are not regularly maintained and tested for water quality safety. Private well users often do not understand potential risks of private well water supply. This webinar and resources will provide a user-friendly approach to well sampling, analysis and treatment. The program will assist private well owners in understanding the importance of testing their drinking water, how frequently to test their private well water, what to test for, and how to test. PRWC will also provide information on water conservation and groundwater protection, best practices and local resources.

Presenters: Tiziana Shea, CT Department of Public Health and Carol Haskins, Pomperaug River Watershed Coalition
