The Dr. Marc Taylor Environmental Stewardship Award

The Pomperaug River Watershed Coalition (PRWC) is soliciting nominations for the Dr. Marc Taylor Environmental Stewardship Award. A highly respected physician and educator, Dr. Taylor turned his keen intellect and calm demeanor toward fostering coalition-based solutions for the benefit of the environment. He demonstrated his dedication to environmental protection as a founder of PRWC.

PRWC has established this award to remember Dr. Taylor for his exceptional vision and long term exemplary commitment to environmental stewardship. PRWC would like to honor an individual who has demonstrated similar dedication and leadership for the conservation of natural resources.

To be eligible for this award, a candidate should:

• Have extensive community service with a focus on environmental issues

• Be recognized as a “go to person” in the environmental or conservation arena

• Be an effective leader and collaborator
