Drinking Water and Private Well Forum October 23, 2018

Pomperaug River Watershed Coalition presents a Private Drinking Water Well Forum: “A WELL IS A DEEP SUBJECT” on October 23, 2018, 6:30 - 8:30 pm at Southbury Town Hall. The Forum is sponsored by Southbury Community Trust Fund in partnership with Connecticut Community Foundation. There is a public health risk associated with drinking water from private wells that are not regularly maintained and tested for water quality safety. Private well users often do not understand potential risks of private well water supply. This public forum and resources will provide a user-friendly approach to well sampling, analysis and treatment. The program will assist private well owners in understanding the importance of testing their drinking water, how frequently to test their private well water, what to test for, and how to test. PRWC will also provide information on water conservation and groundwater protection, best practices and local resources.
