About Woodbury Barns and Farm

Woodbury Barns and Farm
Woodbury Barns and Farm (WBF), The Crown Jewel of Woodbury, Connecticut, is located on the site of the old Samuel Bull Homestead and the former Country Loft in the historic & bucolic town which was recently named ‘The Most Charming Town In Connecticut’ by Reader's Digest Magazine. Nestled in the heart of the downtown area and the very first property in The Historic District, the property is as convenient and centrally located as it is beautiful and historic. WBF is spread over 20 acres of famed Litchfield County countryside replete with an abundance of wildlife, rolling hills, a stream, a 2 acre pond, a horse riding paddock, a fire pit, croquet & games lawns, and majestic granite cliffs that are over one hundred feet high which all compliment the magnificent views and scenic vistas. There are seven structures located on the property that are stunning examples of colonial architecture which have all been updated, designed, & furnished with WBF's signature blend of quintessential New England style fused with French, English, & Italian influences that together create a trademark aesthetic that is chic, high-style, and beautiful yet remain relatable and framed for both comfort and function. WBF is the pure definition of upscale-casual at a property that is all at once high-design and yet informal, elegant and yet understated. Three main buildings respectively house a Bed & Breakfast set within a c. 1706 homestead built by Woodbury’s very first Blacksmith, a guest cottage converted into apartments and a future spa that was originally the first general store for the town, and an 8000 square-foot barn c. 1840 that has an indoor weddings and events venue, conference room/co-working space, retail spaces, gift boutique, interior decorating & design studios, bridal salon, yoga studio, art gallery, commercial kitchen, offices, and Connecticut’s only authentic French wine cave, cellars & private tasting room. Near future plans at WBF will see the installation of a café, restaurant, and bar with both indoor and outdoor seating as well as an aqua terrace, tennis courts, and every conceivable luxury amenity there is. WBF is already one of the top weddings and events venues in Connecticut. Its renowned antique store, one of the oldest in town, was a founding member of the Woodbury Antiques Dealer's Association and an originating member of the Connecticut Antiques Trail in a town often referred to as 'The Antiques Capital of America'. The WBF property has also been featured in film, television, and print and is both a landmark and a staple of all works of authority regarding European Country design in America as well as one of the leading French Country interior design firms in the United States. At WBF there is a distinct focus on local, sustainable, and small business which has been thoughtfully and meticulously incorporated into the mission and the vision of WBF as well as its business and strategic plans. WBF is extremely inclusive, pluralistic, and civic-minded and has gone to great lengths to be a positive, optimistic, and active member of the local community as well as a resource and support to its friends, neighbors, local businesses, vendors, service providers, and organizations. These mindful practices have been woven into everything from the fabric of their purchasing / procurement models, standard operating procedures and strategic & development plans to the products and services they utilize, market, or sell. WBF has focused its debut almost exclusively on philanthropic initiatives and donating its space and resources with plans for that to continue throughout the remainder of 2019. As plans for sales, marketing, and business development advance in the New Year 2020, WBF will remain firmly committed to giving back and paying it forward. Woodbury Barns & Farm is truly a place where one does not simply go from farm to table or farm to fork, but "From Farm To Forever" as well!
