Education and Outreach
Pomperaug River Watershed Coalition is committed to helping everyone in our watershed community understand where their water comes from, what impacts the quality and quantity of their water resources, and what they can do to protect them. PRWC believes that developing good water-use habits and making decisions that affect the long-term health of our water resources should be grounded in science.
In addition to its research and collaborative activities, PRWC shares its knowledge through a variety of education and outreach programs designed to engage individuals and community partners with their water resources.
Our programs include:
-
Watershed Science Presentations and Workshops
-
Exhibits / Information Booths
-
Outreach to Town Commissions
The major objective for all of PRWC’s programs and activities is to underscore our collective roles as stewards of our environment and to promote good habits to keep our watershed and rivers healthy.
