Pomperaug River Watershed Coalition volunteers are very special people whose donation of time and talents has an enormous impact on the health and well-being of our watershed and our communities. Work in the field.  Document in-stream conditions, sample river bugs and water chemistry, and test for contamination in our streams and groundwater.

​If you enjoy writing, photography, graphic and web design, fabricating exhibits or props for activities, or talking to others and teaching, our outreach program can use your skills!

We host a number of fundraising and friend-raising events.  If you enjoy working with others on events planning and management, we can use your skills! 

Spread the Word

Help us share information via social media, in person, by phone, or personal email.  Newsletters and postcards need to go out around our communities. Drop off a few in your travels (at the library, grocery store, coffee shop, etc).

Join a Committee

Join a Committee

Combine your talents and interests and help steer efforts of the Coalition. Committees typically meet once per month and members work on specific project tasks between meetings. Committees include: Stream, Science, Education & Community Outreach,

Land Use, Marketing & Communications, Development Steering and Volunteer Recruitment.

Student Internship Program

Student Internship Program

If you are a college student pursuing an environmental career, consider applying for an internship at PRWC. Interns engage in activities that support our work to protect water resources through scientific research, education, and advocacy to make sure that the people who depend on this water understand the resource and take appropriate actions to preserve and protect it.
