Carol Haskins, Executive Director
 

Carol Haskins joined PRWC as Outreach Director in 2008 after receiving her Master of Science in Environmental Studies from Antioch University New England. Since becoming Executive Director in 2019, Carol has taken on many responsibilities, including serving on the CT State Water Planning Council Advisory Group where she represents Water Resources.

 

In recognition of her extraordinary civic and environmental contributions, Carol has been the recipient of several awards including the Housatonic Valley Association "River Conservation Leadership Award", the Northwest Conservation District "Conservation Educator Award", the Adele Taylor Civic Award, and Woodbury Earth Day "Eco-Warrior Award". Carol has been splashing around rivers, ponds, and lakes since her early childhood in Vermont. Now, she gets to share her environmental passion professionally by teaching others about the way and wonder of the watershed.

Olivia DiPalermo, Watershed Programs Manager

Initially one of our Dr. Marc J. Taylor Interns, Olivia DiPalermo joined our staff team full-time in the role of Community Engagement Coordinator in 2023. In November 2025, she was promoted to Watershed Programs Manager and now facilitates PRWC's educational programs, water quality monitoring efforts, and conservation projects. Olivia earned her bachelor’s degree in history and environmental studies from Binghamton University and her master’s degree in energy and environmental management from the University of Connecticut. As a rower for many years, Olivia has a great passion for water conservation and is excited to continue supporting the work of PRWC.

Cindy Donaldson, Development and Communications Specialist

Inspired by PRWC’s mission to ensure clean, abundant water for future generations, Cindy Donaldson joined PRWC’s staff team in October 2025 in the role of Development and Communications Specialist. With 20 years of experience in marketing, communications, and nonprofit consulting, Cindy has a strong record of building brands, strengthening donor relations, and leading campaigns that drive engagement and funding. As Founder & CEO of Red Barn Consulting, she has worked extensively with nonprofits on fund development, marketing, and strategic planning, while also managing donor campaigns, public relations, and digital communications. In her free time, Cindy is an avid hiker and lives full-time in her RV “Tillie” along the river with her partner Dave.

Amanda Kopec, Bookkeeper

Amanda Kopec joined PRWC as Bookkeeper in Spring 2023. With a robust background in customer service, office administration, and payroll services, she earned her bookkeeper certification from Naugatuck Valley Community College in 2022. Amanda shares a deep concern and love for the environment, its preservation, and using its resources in an intelligent and safe way. She currently resides in Trumbell with her partner Steven and their growing family. Although she lives outside the watershed, she maintains close ties to the community as a Nonnewaug High School Vo-Ag Program alumna with family in Southbury.
