Earth Day Raffle for the River

Woodbury Earth Day Festival’s host organization, the Pomperaug River Watershed Coalition, will be holding a special raffle drawing on Earth Day to benefit the Coalition’s efforts to protect and restore local water resources. The enticing prizes are a Manatee Kayak Package (boat, paddle, cover, life preserver); $500 Gift Card to New Morning Market; Cannondale Mountain Bike; Gift Certificate for an 18-week CSA Farm Share for two people at The Farm; a Selection of Perennial Plants; and a full-day boat rental on Candlewood Lake. Prizes have respectively been donated by the following generous area businesses: LL Bean of Danbury, New Morning Market in Woodbury, Class Cycles in Southbury, The Farm of Woodbury, Pine Meadow Gardens of Southbury, and Echo Bay Marina of Brookfield. Tickets are available for $5 each or 5 for $20 at the PRWC office located at 39 Sherman Hill Road, Suite C103 in Woodbury. Tickets will also be on sale at Hollow Park during Woodbury Earth Day on April 22, where the drawing is set to take place at 3:00 PM. Ticket holders need not be present to win.
