Connecticut Community Foundation Challenge Grant Will Support PRWC Internship and Youth Conservatio

Thanks to the generosity of Connecticut Community Foundation, PRWC is eligible to receive a match for every dollar you give up to $1000 during a special challenge to support our Student Internship and Youth Conservation Corps (YCC) programs during the live auction.
PRWC Internship and Youth Conservation Corps programs foster and cultivate students’ passion for natural resources, sense of personal stewardship, and an overall connection to nature empowering them to become environmental professionals and advocates of the future. PRWC’s interns engage in activities that support our work to protect water resources through scientific research, education, and advocacy to make sure that the people who depend on this water understand the resource and take appropriate actions to preserve and protect it. YCC crew members come together to work as a team help promote the preservation of water quality through hands-on restoration and pollution prevention activities in the community including trail maintenance, rain gardens, riparian habitat, removing invasive species and more. These programs collectively foster a sense of responsibility for natural resources and make a direct impact on pollution prevention and environmental education in the community. Come celebrate and help protect your rivers and drinking water! Tickets are $75 per person and it is recommended that they be purchased in advance at www.pomperaug.org or by calling 203-263-0076. All proceeds for the event support the work of PRWC.
