The Pomperaug River Watershed Coalition’s (PRWC) benefit event is set for November 10, from 5:30 PM to 8:00 PM at Walker Road Vineyards 11 Walker Road, Woodbury. PRWC invites guests to celebrate stewardship of rivers, streams, and drinking water. Enjoy award winning wines, tasty treats, and a tour of Walker Road Vineyards by Vinter Jim Frey. Jim will highlight the unique characteristics that our specific growing area has to offer and the importance of water to Connecticut farm wineries.

Tickets are $35 per person and it is recommended that they be purchased in advance. All proceeds for the event benefit Pomperaug River Watershed Coalition’s work to maintain the health and vibrancy of the watershed including drinking water and wildlife habitat.

Walker Road Vineyards is a small, family-owned farm winery located in beautiful, historic Woodbury. Owner and Winemaker Jim Frey said, “We are grateful for the work done by the Pomperaug River Watershed Coalition to preserve a good water table, and I mention it often to regular customers. I’m not an expert on water, but I know what it means to us.”

Carol Haskins, PRWC Executive Director will invite attendees to join in a toast to watershed stewardship. Come celebrate and help protect your rivers and drinking water!
