We are excited to welcome our 2026 Dr. Marc Taylor Intern, Lily Mills, to our team!
Lily Mills of Danbury, CT is an undergraduate student Unity Environmental University studying Wildlife Conservation. She has a strong interest and background in forestry and natural resource conservation and hopes to learn more about local watersheds and how to protect them during her time with PRWC. Lily has built strong ties to the community as a Nonnewaug High School Vo-Ag Program alumna. Before joining the PRWC team, she interned at Kent Land Trust and worked as a Junior Forest Technician and Team Leader at Bent of the River Audubon Center in Southbury. In her free time, Lily enjoys taking long drives to find the best new hiking spots!
Lily will be working on a number of projects with us this summer including aquatic invasive species removal, stream sampling, road-stream crossing assessments, and more!
This summer marks the 13th season we have welcomed undergraduate and graduate students to our Dr. Marc Taylor Internship Program. With Lily included, we have mentored 19 college students on their way to becoming environmental professionals! You can find our former interns now working for employers such as SLR Consulting, Norwalk Second Water District, ICF, Tighe & Bond, Woodard & Curran, Triumvirate Environmental, Success Academy Charter Schools, and the Cooperative Institute for Great Lakes Research.
