The Pomperaug River Watershed Coalition (PRWC) is soliciting nominations for the Dr. Marc Taylor Environmental Stewardship Award. A highly respected physician and educator, Dr. Taylor turned his keen intellect and calm demeanor toward fostering coalition-based solutions for the benefit of the environment. He demonstrated his dedication to environmental protection as a founder of PRWC. 


PRWC has established this award to remember Dr. Taylor for his exceptional vision and long-term exemplary commitment to environmental stewardship. PRWC would like to honor an individual who has demonstrated similar dedication and leadership for the conservation of natural resources. 


To be eligible for this award, a candidate should: 

• Have extensive community service with a focus on environmental issues of relevance to the mission of PRWC, and preferably having collaborated with PRWC 

• Be recognized as a “go to person” in the environmental or conservation arenas 

• Be an effective leader and collaborator 


To nominate an individual, complete and return the nomination form by April 5, 2026 to:

If you wish, you may submit additional material in support of your nomination (letters of support, articles, photographs, videos, etc.). Feel free to elaborate on the attributes of the nominee and why you feel they emulate those of Dr. Marc Taylor.
