Event Updates and Cancellations

Friends, Given the directives from the CDC and State Public Health officials and the data currently available, all Pomperaug River Watershed Coalition public events have been cancelled or postponed through the beginning of May. That includes the cancellation of Woodbury Earth Day, our largest event of the year.

PRWC will continue making decisions about future events as needed. In the meantime, some programs, like Water Watchers, will be moved to a webinar format and new web-based offerings, like Water Wednesdays, have been added. Look for updates on the PRWC Events page.

As you and your loved ones practice the recommended “social distancing”, we encourage you to spend time outdoors, enjoy fresh air and the beautiful rivers and trails throughout our watershed. The river provides us with a gentle reminder to go with the flow, slow down and meander, be thoughtful of those downstream, go around the obstacles, and immerse yourself in nature.
