EMPLOYMENT OPPORTUNITIES

Len DeJong, Executive Director
Youth Conservation Corps - Crew Members

Crew members work outdoors as a team to enhance natural areas in the Pomperaug Watershed communities.  This might include maintaining trails and bridges in parks, constructing rain gardens, improving riparian habitat, removing invasive species, mitigating soil erosion, and more.

Crew members are selected through a competitive application process to work under a trained leadership team. Members must be willing to meet the mental and physical challenges of working in the outdoors by demonstrating maturity, enthusiasm, and a strong work ethic. A commitment to the environment and to their local communities is essential.

Crew members will serve as ambassadors of PRWC, whose mission is to ensure the availability of high quality water in the Pomperaug Watershed communities for future generations. Application deadline has been extended to April 30. Please see the  2019 ANNOUNCEMENT & APPLICATION

Board of Directors Officers
Dr. Marc J. Taylor Internship /
Youth Conservation Corps - Crew Leader

PRWC is accepting applications from undergraduate and graduate students pursuing environmental careers for its Dr. Marc Taylor Internship position. This prestigious environmental student internship was established in 2013 in memory of PRWC’s cofounder, Dr. Taylor (1937-2012). In addition to stewarding environmental resources at the local, state, and national level, Dr. Taylor was particularly eager to foster the same passion in those preparing to be the stewards of the future.

The Intern will serve as an ambassador of PRWC and as the Crew Leader for PRWC’s Youth Conservation Corps for the 2019 summer season. Together, projects worked on by the Youth Conservation Corps and the Dr. Marc Taylor Intern will underscore our roles as stewards of our environment and promote good habits to keep our watershed and rivers healthy. Please see the  2019 ANNOUNCEMENT & APPLICATION
